Coles gift card offers

Picked up a $100 VA gift card today. More than I had to spend but it's more useful to me than the Teens card (as I'll be buying a $300ish flight from VA soon anyway)

Ozbargain is reporting another round of the theperfectgiftcard bonus offer of 2000 Flybuys starting Jan 3.

There are some other cards including Netflix and Event cinemas as well.

Seems the now standard limit of 1 card is still in play for 2018.

2,000 Bonus Flybuys (Worth $10) on $50 | EFTPOS | Netflix | Ticketmaster | Event Cinemas | Good Food | Gift Cards @ Coles

Thanks DrRalph.

Shame about the 1 card limit. Wish we could go back to the good old days :)

Could you use coles group gift cards to pay for the Visa card?
Mixed reports and experiences on this. Depends on system operating in store you visit. More and more likely that the answer is no. It's more likely to be no with a self service machine especially if you try to split the transaction. You might get away with it with a prepaid card that has a value greater than the entire transaction.

Thanks, will stick with using this promotion to meet min spend requirement on credit card then.

Can I use a Coles egiftcard to buy a physical Coles Group gift card (to use at Officeworks)? I don't plan on splitting the transaction. I have no problem buying Visa cards with an egiftcard but not sure if it will also work when buying Coles Group gift cards.

Unlikely. Depends on staff and operating system. Make sure the egiftcard covers the whole amount. Split payments less likely to work.

Re the $100 "Only 1" Visa cards at Coles, I managed to find one (they had two) at Coles Gungahlin yesterday. A long way from home, but I was over on that side of town running some errands for Mrs 2905, so it wasn't much of a detour.

Others that I'd tried, but only found $50's..... Chisholm, Canberra Centre, Tuggeranong and Amaroo. If I hadn't found that one at Gungahlin then I was going to try the Jamison Centre, and failing that, Wanniassa on the way home. I was um-ing and ah-ing about Belconnen Mall and Woden Plaza, but thankfully it didn't come to that.

The things we do for a few dollars and some extra points. o_O

I've found that in nicer areas there are none left and in Lower socio economic areas they're are a decent amount left

Maybe it's coincidence
