One single peg of purple cards finally appeared mid last week at my local and today (Sat) 9am none to be found anywhere. Is there something I should know about???

I've not seen Bunnings cards at Coles for a while. Used to be a good way of getting spend up for VA SCs.

Be careful when you use Bunnings gift cards. We all know that Bunnings have a very generous refund policy for change of mind situations. You can basically return anything. If you buy something with gift cards, take the item home, and it doesn't fit or turned out to not to your liking, you are going to get your refund as another gift card or credit voucher, you are not going to get a cash refund.

Hence, I would just pay with my AmEx, the little extra points from using gift cards is not worth it, for me.

I'm a regular enough visitor to always be able to use a Bunnings GC.
And also enough of a points tragic to like that any change <$10 comes in cash

I once stood behind a guy at the checkout who had a bunch of $20 giftcards and was running a bunch of 12c washers through as separate transactions.

I assume he subsequently went back and did the same thing with the bunch of $10 giftcards he was given as 'change'.
