Has anyone else experienced this before ?

Even I have received a mail saying I will be receiving the replacement card in next couple of weeks. However I have a lot of direct debits that are currently in place , will they honor the existing direct debits.

Once we get the new card, we will have to inform the direct debit companies of our new card details, unfortunately.

I can't tell if there's already an answer to this query in a different thread but card terms say they will post sign-up bonus within 3 weeks of minimum spend - does anyone have any experience of whether accurate? Thanks

I've just closed the Qantas Premier Platinum, which I believe is a Citi card.

Does anyone know if that would exclude me from this card for 12-18 months?

It seems the 138,000 points transfer is enforced. Just tried to transfer for the bonus Velocity offer and got an error message.

Yes, me too. I ended up searching for "flybuys reward confirmation" in my email and working it out myself. Last year I managed to do a fair amount over the limit, would love another uncapped transfer offer.

I also got Citi to give me a small points apology for the ignominy of having to set up all of my direct debits again. It was tempting to just dump the card and get my partner to sign up for a replacement for the sign up bonus but they'd fairly recently refunded the annual fee for another mess up...

Not the easiest of applications to do. In addition to entering passport and license number in the application it required images of both those documents. The standard payslips was required but also ATO documents or Super Statements or letter of employers.

I just applied for this.

I'm self-employed and my accountant only has a mobile number, but the application form insists you add a landline number from the White Pages. So I had to make up a landline number lol

Those that have applied and got it, what was the general wait time from application to receiving the card?

I have some expenses that I'm holding off on that will easily take me over the required spend, but it won't work if I have to wait more than 2 weeks.

I am self-employed and do not use an accountant - stated this on the application and was approved. The application process was very disorganised but they got there in the end! Applied early Nov and approved mid Dec (I think currently away from home on holiday).

I reached out last week via secure message, after reaching the spend target, and they confirmed I had met the threshold and there would be a three-week wait. So far it's been about two weeks. I will update when/if I receive the bonus points.

And...I received the first 100k bonus Flybuys last night. (The remaining 20k are due after the next annual fee.)

This was 20 days (just on the 3 weeks I was advised were the terms) after the transaction which hit the spend threshold, and also within 24 hours of my statement (not the first, but the first after reaching the spend target) was issued.

My girlfriend applied for this card back in October and was approved immediately and received her 100k FB points 3 weeks after meeting the required spend.

My father applied in November and was neither approved nor denied. When you click the link in the email to check the status of the application, it still says "thank you for your application. We will get in touch with you soon to let you know the status of your application."

I applied for the same card in the first week of January and have the same 'pending' message as above.

Have they stopped processing these because the deal ends today 31/01/20 and they don't want to pay out the FB points? It is Citibank after all.

Has anybody else been approved in December or January for this?

It's a basic CC with a low limit, so doubtful we would be denied for financial reasons.

Interested to hear from others,

Not to be flippant, but I think the optimum word there is "Citibank". I had a totally frustrating time with them and only got action once I started financial ombudsperson action.

hey there,
i thought Citibank might be the case!
I had a successful Ombudsman case against them 3.5 years back for a QANTAS earning card and even once the case was ruled in my favour, they still dragged their feet and held out. I got it in the end though.
Just don't get why my gf was approved immediately and got FB points on time for this card, and the old man and I havent even been denied, much less approved! And we have better credit ratings!

Yeah, but you are thinking rationally.

am i correct to assume you get the bonus points in the next stateent period?

just looking to see if I can get the points to take advantage of the 15% + 20% flybuys promo on for the next few days

Rather than 120k straight away, it's 100k Flybuys on $3k spend and then 20k on the year's anniversary (which I guess at least pays for the second year's $99 fee).

Has everyone received their 20K on the anniversary automatically or did you need to follow up?

Haven't received it yet. Will need to follow up. Same with the $100 supermarket eVoucher targeted offer they sent out in Oct-Dec last year (spend $1000 and receive a Coles $100 eVoucher).

Was about to follow up but before I did, I checked Flybuys account and was credited back on 4 March, entry was as follow:

150,000 Bonus Points 23 Oct - 31 Jan

04 Mar 2021 $0 50,000 pts
