Combining a revenue ticket and award ticket

Hi Guys,

I hope this hasn't been posted somewhere but I bought two tickets recently:

- Award redemption MEL-SIN-DXB-CDG on Emirates, departing at 7 pm; and
- Revenue ticket from SYD-MEL departing at 1 pm.

I originally booked the award ticket thinking I will be in Melbourne that weekend, however I will be in Sydney. When I looked at award tickets, I couldn't even find economy seats from MEL to SYD, so I had to purchase a revenue ticket.

My question is, when I check in at SYD, can I send my luggage all the way to Paris? Or will I have to check it in again in Melbourne?

Are your Emirates bookings on QF or EK flight numbers?

If QF flight numbers then I think it should be possible, but I don't know the answer if it's EK.
