combining velocity and singapore airline FF tickets

thanks for any help - I have booked Singapore airline London to Singapore via velocity. There are no tickets singapore to sydney on velocity but plenty on Krisflyer. If I book a separate KF booking signapore to sydney, will I be able to check my bags all the way through (the entire journey will be on Singapore)?

Yes, I did this last year. I asked the checkin agent at London to through check my bags to Melbourne, she just needed to see the onward reservation out of Singapore.

thanks - all set now. Virgin points points used to book business on Singapore airline gatwick to Singapore and Singapore airlines points used to book singapore to sydney premium. Have about 3 hours in Singapore. If they do not allow baggage to booked through, does anyone know if there is a transit desk so we do not have to go out through customs?
