Credit Card Offers CommBank Ultimate Awards Card: 100K award points – potentially fee free

Let us know if you concur?
I can't find any specific mention of it, either on the CBA or SQ website. Did you get an email or anything? I probably wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't for this thread. Only thing I can think of is the max points I earn in CBA per month is ~30k, based on $10k forex spend.

Hopefully I'm not missing something stupidly obvious, these are the T&Cs relating to the promo from both CBA & SQ's websites:

CBA:
Bonus 15% KrisFlyer Miles
1. This promotion is valid only for points transfer to participating program partners from 00:00am AEDT on 28 November 2024 to 23:59pm AEDT on 19 December 2024,
2. During the promotion period, members transferring to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer will receive a 15% bonus over the points accrued on the member’s account as a product of the transfer.
3. You must be enrolled as a member of Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer in order to participate in this promotion.

6. Once the transfer request is initiated, it cannot be reversed.

Oh, my bad, sorry!!! I crossed threaded. I landed on this thread and mistook the posts for similar discussion regards Flybuys bonus transfer which has the 30k bonus limit. How embarrassment. You are right, there is no limit for CBA transfer.

No worries! And DP for anyone else transferring, I sent some over and they arrived today, bonus at the same time on a different line "Accruals CBA Bonus Points Transfer".

Interestingly this offer has vanished from CBA’s website. The T&Cs didn’t mention anything about finishing early and it’s still on the KrisFlyer website. I’ve just sent the rest of my CBA points over, so will see.

I have screenshots of both websites’ T&Cs if anyone needs them, but would recommend taking one of the KrisFlyer site T&Cs before initiating now.

Thanks for the heads up. Can you please confirm if the bonus points come through.

I’ve never been able to find specific T&Cs on the CBA website for this offer, just all the general ones.

No worries, post #406 above I pasted the text of the T&Cs for both.

But can confirm they posted today with the 15%, so def still working, but CommBank must be preparing for it to end.

This is my second time with the Ultimate Awards card. First time on the new incremental bonus points system. Are the bonus points meant to come each month? Or do they come after the first 4 months and you get 15,000 points per month you met the minimum spend?

I just got my first statement. Spent $5,500 but no bonus points listed on the statement
Well, I think I know why I never got these points. Even though I requested the account closure well over a year before, I had $0.22 outstanding apparently. I even received statements but since I never check statements for this account, I totally missed it. So I technically never closed it? They still approved my application for a new account, though 🤔

I'll try to ring them to see if they're interested in giving the bonus points anyway, but I'm never hopeful whenever I call these big banks despite a long relationship.

The Commbank Ultimate Awards card has a new sign-up bonus for 100,000 Commbank Awards points or 70,000 Qantas points.

If you opt in to earning Qantas points, you'll pay the new $90 p.a. fee Qantas points annual fee going up again for CommBank credit cards

This brings the max annual fee to $510 ($35 a month + $90) for Qantas points, or $420 if not earning Qantas points.

If I read it correctly, so long as a person spends 4k a month only the $90 fee will apply. Sadly 4k per month is doable these days!

The beauty of this and NAB cards is they seem to be only ones left that count any spending as eligible. (rates, rego etc)
Also, with fee free international spend. As I have a trip planned in May, it sounds like an ok deal in the current market. Have two weeks left to serve out my exclusion period.

I finally received my bonus points after a few emails.
I didn't opt in for the Qantas earn, I don't think the fee is worth it. Now that I've held the card for the minimum period I've racked up 150,000 Commbank points for $0 fees. Keeping the card for a bit since I'm still on cool down period for other cards. Will likely transfer to Velocity before cancelling this.
