Card Promotions Commonwealth Bank (Ultimate Awards Card) 100K award points – potentially fee free

Any experience with signing up for the qantas sign up bonus (70k), but then quickly changing for the velocity earn (1.5pt/$ spent Internationally). Keen for the card for some upcoming international transactions and international trips.
I did this, no problem the change is done instantly from memory. i would assume though that it would be smart to do this just after the accrued QFF points are paid out at the end of your monthly cycle.
How long did the bonus points take to land in your account.
I hit my $5000 spend in early January - spending was overseas transactions.
My Feb statement came out yesterday and still no bonus points
I dont remember how quickly, but it was quick. If you look up your T&C it should tell you when it will be paid.

Hello,
A question for those who have already joined the CommBank Awards program;

I'm looking at applying for the 70K bonus points promotion with the Ultimate Awards CC.
As a current CommBank customer, I am not signed up the to bank's Awards Program with my existing CC and as such, I'm a little uncertain what constitutes an 'eligible' spend to earn Award Points.
To receive the bonus points with this promotion, we are required to spend $5K within the first 3 months. I have upcoming car rego, car insurance, house insurance and land rates due.
Would these spends be considered 'eligible'?
I understand some CC's do not accrue points for Government payments such as Car rego and Land rates.

Thank you.

I have received my new Ultimate Awards card. In the package, there is a booklet called CommBank Awards Program (1 August 2021). On page 5, An Eligible Purchase is any transaction made using a Card, except: payments through bPay, payments to the ATO, balance transfers, payment in return for FX, payments for travellers cheques (and the list goes on but none of the ones you mentioned). I think the payments you have listed should be OK.

Applied for the Ultimate and they sent out the standard Awards card with a $1000 limit! is this an error or a deliberate downgrade (i.e. they didn't approve me at the Ultimate level)?

I’ve heard CBA does this, so I’d say option B. Could be worth a fight… did you want the card, or is it just a churn for the signup bonus?

Myrna - Thank you very much for this info.

Still waiting for the bonus.
I made an enquiry today and they said the points will land 90days from the card activation/approval date if I have met the $5k spend which I have I'm January.
90days from approval for me will be March 21st.. or somewhere around there.
This sucks because now I'll have to pay more $35 monthly fees..

I wouldn’t take that as gospel. It may well appear before that (mine certainly did last time around).

CBA currently has a 15% bonus when transferring CBA Awards points to Virgin Australia.

I am still waiting for my bonus and it has been more than 90 days and I have met spend long ago . How did you enquire ?

Information for this card can be difficult to find. Posting current earn and burn rates. Earn rates are the same regardless of Qantas direct or CBA rewards. Qantas transfer 1pt to 0.4QFF.
