Yeah I think it would be a terrific thing for housekeeping to check. Unplugging it doesn’t necessarily work. I had an alarm go off at 3am in a hotel a few years back. At that hour I couldn’t work out how to stop it properly. I suspect I pressed snooze because it went off again a short time later. I ended up unplugging it from the wall but it must have had a battery back up because it kept beeping. When I eventually figured out how to end the alarm, it wasn’t the start of sleep, however, because I ended up very cross, which as we all know is the enemy of sleep.Why don't housekeeping check this? Given its apparent frequency I really think they ought to.
I swear, if it ever happens to me (although I do tend to unplug because I can't stand the light in the dark of the room) I'm going to leave my room like this in revenge...
Thankfully, clock radios seem to be in a decline in hotels. I seem to encounter them less and less.
