Hi All

So I recently saw in a qantas facebook group, a person was complaining that the attendant at a Qantas Club lounge was requesting that her infant needed to have a complementary qantas lounge pass assigned to the child. I saw this and thought that is really stupid, and it is not what I have experienced. Some people then posted that that is the rules, and all people in the lounge need a pass

I posted that I have probably taken by child to the Qantas club probably 5 or 6 times with only myself and my wife needing the pass, but I didn't get a responce..

So I was wondering what the group thought, as it seems to be a rule that isn't that enforced.

From my understanding, Comp pass are required for all passengers wanting to access the lounge. With that said, my kids have gone in without them due to low numbers in the lounge.

On a separate situation, Qantas club members should be able to bring 1 adult guest and 2 children. But I have seen that being refused and mentioned that it is either 2 children or 1 adult guest. Which I felt strange but never verified that statement as it was all verbal.

Are you a member or have status ?

No status... And I have just used the complemently passes you get from credit card companies... As I said,. I was surprised somebody needed a pass for a child .. I guess,. I have never been when it has been very busy..
