Is it Virgin or Fairfax though?
Virgin made the offer, simsy85 accepted it!

Virgin made the offer, simsy85 accepted it!
And when did they promise to fulfill that offer?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
They have not failed to delivery anything yet, all that was offered as a years subscription if you said yes by May 2, note the terms of the offer say its not applicable to every address, its possible many will be out of that area.
I didn't remember seeing those terms, but for offers like this, I rarely read the small print.
So, in this case, there is no problem about non-deliver!
But, I'll still stand by a "it would have been nice to know when delivery would start, and also how to find out IF you will be eligible for home delivery"
In DRW signed up for it, but alas nothing.
You can't really do that Virgin... offer something then not deliver.
Its just not cricket.
Got mine! - but bizarrely Virgin call centre girl who I just called to make a booking change STILL had no idea about the offer.
This is the most bizarre promo ever but hey I finally got the paper!!
Wonder what happens to the paper when I lose DJ Platinum? (not bothering to keep it, will maybe maintain look to maintain Gold if they sort some stuff out)
To suspend your subscription, you need to ring:The Australian Financial Review newspaper subscriptions: Telephone: 1800 646 990 (Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm AEST). Unless you have your subscription number (I suspect you don't), you have to wait a while to speak to a human to suspend delivery, at which time you can ask for your subscription number for future suspensions which can then be done quickly over the phone without the need to wait to speak to a human:idea:Same here but I will need to suspend delivery in 2 weekends time when I go to Cbr for Ozfest...can you access the online version for free if you have a paper subscription, albeit only the w/e?
The offer is subject to the terms and conditions and are linked on the offer page, in fact its the first line:
Subscriptions to The Australian Financial Review, The Weekend Financial Review, BRW, AFR Smart Investor, MIS, Asset and CFO are available in Australia where a normal home delivery service exists. For more information on the applicable delivery areas, please contact Customer Service on 1800 646 990.
I also note the terms say Please allow up to 10 working days from the date of application for daily and weekly publication subscriptions to commence and up to 6 weeks for monthly publication subscriptions.
I agree some sort of expectation along those lines could have been made with the offer text!
Ahhh I live in a capital city!!
I still manage to get the Australian and the Courier Mail (from QLD) delivered daily, yet I can't get the AFR!!!
To be fair there is a news/fairfax split but seriously? Darwin isn't that far....

Population of North Queensland is a fair bit denser than the NT so Fairfax might be skimping on coverage in the NT.
Thats a bold claim depending on whether it is intellectual capacity or population per square mile you are talking about
News Ltd probably has a press in Darwin (I assume the NT News is printed locally) so your Australian and Courier Mail probably come from there. But when I was living an hour outside of Cairns, it wasn't possible to get an AFR at the local newsagent before about midday. Yes the NT News is News LTD, and printed locally, they do not print CM or the Oz... these arrive on the Morning flights (about midday J* from BNE)
