If they are actually needing to go MEL-SYD, or SYD-BNE, etc they can just do that domestic leg and without stepping foot in the international terminal, ring to cancel and go about their merry way...? That's kinda what I was referring to, not so much a status/squiggle run for the sole purpose of qualifying for AA status.
I understood what you meant.
Do you think anyone would book international itineraries with a domestic connection and cancel after the domestic flight more than once? All this so they can accrue status or squiggles for status?
It's not worth the hassle you could receive on your next entry to the USA with a please explain.
