Hi
I am trying to book points seats using my VA points on Virgin America from BOS-PDX. I have been advised that premium economy is 71,800 for 2 pax and Biz class is 95,600 for 2 pax. However, the Virgin America website shows 'Main Cabin', 'Main Cabin Select' and 'First'.
I am assuming that 'Main Cabin Select 'must be what VA call PE and 'First' might be what VA call Business, but I'd like some clarification ...

Also -is it worth burning the points for , or shall I just pay $1164 USD for us both to fly Delta first class...
Anyone have any idea?
Thanks

VX First is pretty sweet. Great big white leather seats and dark mood lighting.

Main Cabin Select is just the first couple of rows (with some extra legroom) and the exit rows, with complimentary food and beverages.

I wouldn't hesitate to drop the extra 25k for business on a transcon flight like that.

So do you know if the Business product that V Australia is quoting me is like to be the First class with V America?

I would assume so. I usually book direct with VX, so I can't comment, but Main Cabin Select would definitely not be considered Business.

First Class on US airlines is on par with our Business products in most cases.

Another question relating to Virgin America- does the Main Cabin Select count as Full Price Economy or Premium Economy when it comes to earning SC's?
