Confusion about earning points....

Do you guys know if Hyatt Coolum earns points under gold passport? at a rate of 5 points per dollar? For the life of me, i can not work it out on their website. It says Hyatt Vacation Club™ Resorts only................. :evil:

Yes you will earn points (assuming you are on a eligible rate). I stay here once or twice a year.

The note on the website - yes it is wrong - I think it should say "except Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts" (which from memory doesn't earn points)

Recently stayed at a Hyatt and as I paid the 'conference' rate subsequently found out that I was unable to earn any points! Not happy as the rate was still fairly pricey, something like $199/night vs $275/night. I feel that a discounted points-earn would be a fairer option.
Anyone had a similar experience?
This doesn't occur with the Priority Club rewards scheme.
