I've recently dropped from Gold to Silver. I have 4 lounge passes - 2 for my Silver Membership and 2 from a Virgin Money credit card. There are 4 of us total, 2 Adults and 2 kids who will be 4 and 1 at time of travel next year.

We are looking at going from Canberra to Townsville, there is a stop in either Sydney or Brisbane depending on the times chosen.
I've never used lounge passes before. What happens with connecting flights? I'm assuming I have to choose which airport I want to use my passes in and can't use them at both even though they are all the one flight?

CBR is not a bad lounge so better off spending some guaranteed time there rather than risk a delayed flight and possibly having little to no time between connecting flights and wasting your passes

Yes, we love the Canberra lounge actually.
It's our "home" airport so that is usually where we fly out of.
We've now decided to change our trip a little.
We're flying Canberra to Gold Coast then on the way home Mackay to Canberra (stop in Sydney)

Will use the lounge in Canberra for our Gold Coast flight.

Before your flight you need to assign the passes against the flight that you wish to use it on, in this case it sounds like you have chosen CBR. You will certainly need one for each adult. And, you could try to hold one child each in yr arms to see if you can get the children in without using having to use the other two passes.

Thankyou, I didn't know that, as I've never had to use passes before.
I think maybe the 1yo may get away with it but not the 4 year old LOL

Actually, there is no need to pre-assign the passes to any flight. Assuming all 4 passes show in your VFF account online, you can simply arrive at the lounge with your boarding passes and redeem any number of lounges entry passes in conjunction with that flight. I agree that you'll likely not need to redeem for the 1 year old.

Oops, I have answered as if it were QF passes - they require them to be assigned early.

The infant shouldn't count as a guest... you'd probably have to try your luck with the 4 yr old though.
