What are your dates again? 2nd till 8th for us...pretty typical weather this time of year it seems.

We're there from 31st of December until the 7th.... Noticed that the hotel looks full...imagine paying $1000 per night to stay and having it rain every day. At least it will be relaxing....

Looking forward to a TR in any case.. :D

Did you upgrade to an overwater bure?

We are absolutely loving this place....definitely as beautiful as all the pictures portray it. Thank you so much for your original post!!!!

I am off to check the rules to see if I can lock a thread on the basis of extreme jealousy

Glad you're enjoying yourself!

Yep upgraded back in August paying ~$330aud per night for delux OWB...may have already spent that again in food though.

There hasn't been really any diamond recognition but I'm not complaining...off to the supermarket at Viatape later today to stock up on supplies!

Did you guys get the spa and messages as well as free breakfast (not Hilton Gold/Diamond benefit)? How was it? Also is the room/OWB refurbished?

I have some bookings but still could not decide whether to go this year or not as I have been to Hilton Moorea twice a few years ago on another "special offer" from Hilton ....

Just be been up to the spa to organize the two massages and two beauty treatments.

In terms of breakfast nothing has been said and I can't remember if the rate included the hot option? Any chance you can have a look? We just had the cold breaky this morning as a diamond benefit as have to pay extra for hot I believe.

And by refurbished..haven't been here before so hard to say but definitely not new so I would say no.

From what I see is that the package includes hot breakfast for 2 everyday as well. You should ask for it.

Interestingly when we booked it last year, it says "Serenity Package". Now it has been changed to "Spa Package".

Can you please post a picture of the interior of OWB? I want to see how new it is compare to OWB at Hilton Moorea.

I mentioned this on Facebook. I had booked from I believe Jan 4th for 5 nights. Afterwards there were a bunch of emails, with the resort was trying to cancel, blaming on a computer error and then later corporate stepped in. The last email I got said we've restored your booking for 16th June (!?) for 5 nights. However the HH website shows I'm booked for 5 nights from March 1st!

Initially I was going to get it moved back to Jan 4th however as luck has it, this wouldn't have worked - so March is looking better at this point. I'll still have the comped Diamond then too.

Did anyone else who booked have their dates unilaterally changed?

About as good as good as I can get but I doubt it's been refurbished... There is still a crt television in the living area! Lcd in the bedroom though...

Thanks for info on breaky...will find out in the morning I guess

I had similar issues and logging into my hilton account I have 2 bookings...One for 7 - 8th of this month which is when we check out and one for mid Feb. Remembering I only made the one original booking.

When I did the upgrade through the hotel they did say the system wouldn't update as it is not linked to hhonors. A strange thing if you ask me.

So sadly, my time in Bora Bora has come to an end....but we absolutely loved it! We stayed in three different rooms during the week due to one night being done on points, 5 nights on the "Serenity Package" special (thanks again Hummel) and one night in an OWB. What I can say is that all the rooms are pretty similar (looks like they have just built the same floor plan over and over again) so what you are paying for is your view and access to the water. We loved the OWB but equally loved the garden villas and even the garden view rooms. We did get breakfast included and also the spa treatments - though the treatments weren't great and I'm glad we didn't pay extra for them. I did find the service levels at the Hilton very inconsistent - more so than at any other hotel I have stayed at, but given how relaxed we all were, this was more an observation than a complaint.

We did the jet ski tour and absolutely loved it....well worth the $300us. Got to see some of the other resorts locations - Four Seasons and St Regis seemed to have the best swimming lagoon-absolutely breathtaking, but they didn't have any coral. Hilton had a bit of both.

And for anyone wondering, the mandatory dinner @$400+ was very ordinary. I have learnt my lesson, never book into a resort for NYE

Thanks for your report mollycram, glad you had a good time. My wife said she was talking to two Australian ladies in the spa the other day. Wasn't you by any chance?

I agree very much with your thoughts. I'll be posting a report when I get home.

We've just arrived at intercon ppt overnight here flying out 2am on Friday!

That is funny Hummel.....it wasn't me but it was two of my friends... We were wondering if this might have been the new Mrs Hummel...
