I redeemed SQ flight to UK from Perth last year using Kris miles. Now due to some unforeseen situation, I can't go so I cancelled the booking and got an email stating refund will be processed in 15 days. 15 days gone and nothing from SQ (email or refund ...). I fired them another email and got the similar email: will respond in 15 days and 15 days went by with nothing. I rang them up on 131011, got a message long waiting time would I like a call back. So call back was booked in 3 hour slot today. 3 hours went by and no call. Got into the chat line with them and got the message: long queue for live agent and I can exit by pressing cancel button !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh.

Is this normal or is there any way to get my points back ? Please help (I am just about cutting my wrist).

We had a similiar situation with the added complication that I couldn't cancel online until 3 days before the flight even though I had been trying to cancel for 3 months.
Finally got the same email saying 15 days which didn't happen.I used the online form and headed it Complaint. Got an email 1 week later asking to confirm we wanted to cancel. The next day points and taxes back where they belonged.

I've been waiting 6 months for my points to get returned from a trip to Japan cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Every time I call they tell me my request is in a queue. Often they'll say someone will call me, but no one ever does. I've asked if there is anyone else I can speak to about escalating the issue, apparently there is not....

Similar problem, have a redemption booked and received the dreaded flight cancelled for operational reasons email, with a connecting flight moved the following day.

Went online, to manage the booking, can't do anything unless I "Accept" the new schedule.

I called SQ twice, both times only to be told they can't help me, as only the redemption staff can assist.

They promise I will get a call back which never comes.

I submitted an email request as well with no response beyond the automated "15 days".

All I want to do is move the flight back a day earlier which I could do myself if the online system let me.

I finally got my miles back and also the money (fee/charge are on the way, promised). Anyway it was quite a weird experience: kept getting emails asking for reason that I cancelled the flight which I provided the same response every time, about 4 altogether. I think maybe I contacted/complained 4 times: emailed twice, tried to phone and complained through their website. Anyway, on the day I got my miles back (yesterday), I still got one email asking for reason, two emails about my refund.

Bottom line: i got my miles back and extended till Sept 2022 so need to book something soon. Still waiting for money.

Glad you finally got your points refunded, your points will be extended another 6 months in September so you have a bit longer to book.

I don't think they will be extended. I thought SQ stops after June this year (extend June to December 2022).

No points expire in 2022 for example if you have points that expire in December they will be extended 6 months into 2023 but nothing further after that. You can find the details with the extension chart online.
