Convert to Aeroplan or Qatar Avios ?

Hi,
About to close the CBA smart awards and I'm looking where to park the miles.... Front runners at the moment is Avios or Aeroplan miles -
We live in perth and travel to Canada and Europe regularly...
Any advice / thoughts ?

As good as those programs are, the conversion rates from CBA aren't flash. You could consider Velocity which uses a more generous 2:1 transfer rate, as you can use those points to redeem on both Air Canada and Qatar, along with other partners. The best option would depend on how you travel, though.

I have 308960 Avios Points in my Qatar Burgundy Account. And it clearly says on their calculator page that, for a round trip business class ticket from DUBAI to USA will only use 420000 AVIOS POINTS approx.

Huh? How does this help the OP flying from Perth, when Qatar Airways is based in Doha, not Dubai?
