And so we leave Harstad.Such a pity we couldn't have had some better weather.

We arrive in Tromso to a bracing 6.5C,cloud and showers.I had considered the sea kayak tour but now pleased I didn't sign up.We have been to Tromso before so we just walked the town.A lot more shops and new construction.So a pictorial of some of the buildings-

Interesting to see that tulips totally finished in the Netherlands 2 weeks ago being in bud in Tromso.

That looked like a fulmar flying past. I remember in the Arctic they would fly along side the ship and seemed to make eye contact, but so hard to photograph.

So now to Saturday and we arrive in Honninngsvag for our trip to Nordkapp.Cold but some blue sky.Hopefully some reasonable weather for our excursion.

More mad people camping.Saw 4 motorcycles with a sleeping bag beside each.Though temp is 5C the windchill factor would bring the felt temperature close to zero.Must really be freezing at night.

Love reindeers. We bought a pelt in Iceland and it hangs over the back of a leather couch in our lounge area. It's beautifully thick and feels wonderful.
Temperatures sound balmy (not). Would hazard a guess that the eye-catching shorts from a previous cruise are not getting an outing here but I may be mistaken. :mrgreen:

we enjoyed our trip to Nordkapp.A great guide-a South African who had been a safari guide.
After we sailed we warmed up and enjoyed our dinner in Le Champagne.Loved the foie gras,lobster and soufflé.
Sunday was another sea day cruising down the North Coast of Russia.Desolate place with little there but an occasional lighthouse and some funny construction-

After our experiences in Russia I concluded they were internet blocking stations!However the day turned out well.The team won at trivia and amazingly I won the putting competition.
It was a formal night and the Venetian coughtail party.Dinner with Alan King the Cruise Director.Another good night with us finishing at 11pm.A good night's sleep to get ready for Archangel.

Not even packed.But now you mention it they will be packed for our October/November cruise around Cuba.Also take them on the Whisper next year for the putting comp.Anything to distract the opposition!
