I will be in Hawaii next week for a few weeks and then back in the States again in March. Used to be a member of Costco here few years ago but could not see much in savings here but having visited Costco in the States previously and bought a few things just wondering is it worth joining again. Time in running out here and cannot get to Docklands so does anyone know if I visit the warehouse in Honolulu can I join there ? or can you do on line and just quote the membership number when you arrive as don't suppose I would receive card in time.

Had no problems this year using my Docklands issued Costco card in Vancouver so I am be reasonably certain that if you purchase one whilst in Honolulu you will be able to use it in Oz...You may however have an issue signing up in the US with an Oz address

I have previously joined up in Hawaii at the warehouse counter - only problem was that when our 12mth membership was due for renewal Costco (USA) rejected the on line payment and advised us to take up a NEW membership in Australia - some issue with databases not being linked. We joined again here in AUS and let the USA membership lapse. Your AUS membership can be used at any Costco in the world.

I have a US card and my wife has an Australian card. They both work anywhere there is a Costco.
My US issued card has a metal swipe strip which is handy for buying fuel at their gas stations without getting assistance from an attendant.

thanks all will join up again in Honolulu and hope for some good shopping

Last night I was in the Marina del Rey Costco buying Flemings restaurant gift cards at 79.99 for 100.00 of cards. Thank you jdlover23 for that one this week. Those cards have no expiry date. Costco have a really good selection of gift cards at a discount at the moment.

How much does Costco membership cost?

There is a costco being built at North LAkes just near where I live.

Is it worth spending money to be able to go shopping.

I hate shopping at the best of times.

They also have some great offers on Universal Studios tickets (Annual Pass for approx $63 I think) and other must have's like See's Candies where you pay close to 40-50% off 1 pound boxes buying the 2 box gift card

The Samsonite bag deal at Costco is my second favourite after the $79.99/100 gift cards to restaurants in California.

$50 if you have an abn; I'm thinking of joining up to check it out.

Just re joined as they are opening the Melbourne Ringwood store soon and I am off to Hawaii next week to will go to the Hawaii Kai store. Viited Docklands store last week and other half almost got into trolley rage, he swears he will never go into another Costco as long as he lives...we will see
