So Prof Haggis and +1 (me) attended out of curiosity. Very disappointing affair - standing while a kiwi talked about a chup and pun for your qantas cash card. Very little we didn't know. Thought the new uniforms may have been on display and maybe even a freebie??

Best part of the evening - getting home and reading this thread which had us laughing very loudly!

Qantas will get some feedback from us as we enter the QP before our MH J flight in June!!

FF points giveaway, 5 epiqure wine packs, all the grog you could drink. Sounds like a freebie or two to me.

And your rationale for having a go at someone's nationality and accent is?

Yes. I had to cycle in to get my car early this morning. I didn't look what bubbles they were feeding me but by golly it went down a treat.

and Jessica, I'm glad you weren't standing with us when we were doing "chup and pun" comments down the front (quietly of course, so as not to offend)
We did,(or I almost did, better not speak for others) almost break out into guffaws at 2 points:
-The mention of "enhancements". Interestingly I had a very quick chat to Lesley Grant and a made small joke about the use of the word and she looked blank and said something like "well we really do intend to enhance the lounges". I am not sure she got it. I am pretty sure the other members of the team understood exactly what AFFers mean by "enhancements"
The mention of better points options on Jetstar....like we are all lining up to experience that?


And I reckon Haggis45 was OK with that comment but as they say YMMV

And watch out peeps there has been a lot of "moved to appropriate thread" going on lately. So let's not get too off topic

Yes, basically they're sorry, need to consolidate the business, Asia is a focus area, plan to expand when the 787-900s arrive, ADL-sin is a good potential route. So an implied return to the route but not a promise by any stretch of the imagination.
