Will the AO (and its COVID theme) be finished soon?
With Covid19 likely to become endemic and with the AO already being so, the answer is no.

And no mention of Maggie Court appearing this year at the Evonne Goolagong Arena. Apparently not invited to the AO.With Covid19 likely become endemic and with the AO already being so the answer is no.

IMHO: But she doesn’t. Good she wasn’t invited this year. The arena should be renamed after her homophobic and anti vaccine pronouncements, including “Jesus is my vaccine.”. Good luck with that.Living as she does in the DPRWA, I doubt it was ever on for her to appear at Margaret Court Arena. Lets stick to tennis?
If she doesn't believe in vaccination then it makes sense not to anyway regardless of any other issues.Australian Open: Not invited:
Tennis great Margaret Court says she wasn't invited to Australian Open
Tennis champion Margaret Court, who has had a frosty relationship with the Australian Open over her views on sexuality and same-sex marriage in recent years, says she not been invited to this year's tournament in a radio interview with 3AW.amp.cnn.com
Lets stick to tennis?
While I agree, if they use their status as a great tennis player to achieve a louder voice in the media with divisive opinions then the two become inextricably linked.I have some issues with the denigration of "great achievers"..because they later present with less than socially acceptable views.
She either was a great sports person or she was not..
What she is now should be less relevant. (IMnsHO )
All reads a bit like the new age "permanence of guilt" .. no longer can you do the time for the crime.. guilty is now a life sentence
However, some seem to be quite okay with bringing it upon themselves, without any help being needed from others. What is said in later years becomes more relevant, as the good that was done in the earlier years has long gone, including for those Australian tennis greats who were admired by those around them for what they saw of them at the time.I have some issues with the denigration of "great achievers"..because they later present with less than socially acceptable views.

Providing he/she sticks to tennis and not vilify or denegate other equally talented sportspeople with absurd comments based on medieval superstitions.Well, I guess that was a forlorn hope . A great tennis player will always be a great tennis player. Deal with it, eh?
All the championships Margaret Court won are still won. Still a former champion tennis player. What is said in later years becomes more relevant, as the good that was done in the earlier years has long gone, i

Honestly, it’s not uncommon for people in later years to have and express views unpalatable to others. It does not take away from their achievements in their prime.
Both women's and men's double semis were/are played simultaneously.Meanwhile the AO's scheduling genius has both Australian men's doubles pairs playing simultaneously
I didn't realise until your post yesterday that there were two Australian men's doubles in contention. Squeaky wheel and all that.Meanwhile the AO's scheduling genius has both Australian men's doubles pairs playing simultaneously
