With the upcoming reduced points earn on Virgin Money cards, the points per dollar earn rate for non-AMEX cards is either pathetic, or expensive
From what I can gather the best options are:
-NAB AMEX/Visa combo 0.5/$1 on Visa (I already have this and haven't so far used the Visa)
-Global Wallet Visa 0.5pt/$1 for domestic spend
-Virgin Flyer Visa 0.66pt/$1, $129 fee
-Virgin High Flyer 1pt/$1, $289 fee
I'm not keen on less than 1pt/$1, and even though I think the $289 Virgin High Flyer is poor value, I can't see that any other card offers 1pt/$1
Of the bank-issued credit cards, I'm confused about the Citibank offering on the Velocity site. This link says 1.5 Citi points = 1 Velocity (so 0.75pt/$1):

But when you click on the Citi logo for more info it says "1 Velocity Point per 2 Citi Rewards"

Does anyone know what the actual Velocity earn rate is for Citi cards? Even though they are very expensive at $700 and $400 for the higher earning cards
What are you all doing?
