Hi guys,

Just wondering is it possible to change the FFP on the return leg of a journey ie My miles were credited to Etihad on the outbound journey, but can I switch to Velocity on the return journey before I fly next week if I call them in advance?

Flight in question has VA numbers but operated by Etihad- the booking currently has Etihad Guest numbers attached.

Cheers.

I don't have direct experience with VA/EY but can't see why it cannot be done. I would request the change as you check in for return flight. Your only obstacle could be check- in/lounge staff telling you it's not possible.

As JohnK says, it's possible, but depends on the staff actually doing what you ask. As an example, whenever my father asks CX staff to credit his CX flights to QF at the airport they say they've changed them, but don't. Whether that's inadequate training or the animosity between CX and QF who knows, but it seems to be the latter IME as it's an easy change.
