Crediting QFF Ultimate Free Flight to AA?

I did the same. Booked/Cancelled. Amex did not put up much of a fight on me closing the card which surprised. They asked me why, I told them, and they closed it. Maybe I am not worth much to them.

Ditto, but then I do have a plat CC as well, so maybe they thought it ok for me to drop back to one card. The Ultimate card was mostly used to book QF flights and get the extra point and for that it would have been nice to keep (yes, minor regret in closing it!).

I was planning on taking up the Plat Charge card though - but I will wait till closer to my anniversary date on the plat cc to do that! Plat Charge + Plat CC + Ultimate would have been a good combo for me, but I can't get too carried away with the annual fees, so Mr Ultimate got the bullet!

(And a question for those that have cancelled - when does it show up as such online?)
