I was disappointed to find out earlier today that as of May 21st 2023, an IHG family favourite of ours, the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley (NSW), will no longer be operating under IHG as a CP.

Seems it was announced some time ago, but I must have missed it. The hotel will soon operate as Rydges Resort Hunter Valley. If Rydges were still a part of GHA, it might have been less of a sting, status benefits-wise, but unless they'll offer greater value for B&B deals during peak and shoulder periods, I think we might be looking closer at the alternatives for the Hunter region.

Cheers,

Hmm I wonder if I book now before the changeover for dates later in the year whether they will honour my Diamond status?

They should honour the booking, and will be in touch if there's any changes, but you won't get any status benefits.

I have a booking in July, Got an email this week saying the booking will be honoured but no status benefits or points.
