Interesting, it’s actually got quite decent bones and is in a good location but looking a little tired in places.

The Kirkton Park was a Sebel - but came into the IHG fold as an independant. Didn't realise they'd decided on the CP brand for it

I understood that they had, but on re-reading my text message see that I may have been mistaken. Only jetlagger could say for certain, but I know as a Platinum he was upgraded.

I stayed there in August and quite enjoyed it. Great location and views. Pity to see it leaving the IHG fold.

Stayed there for OzFest this year - it was "Hotel Central" - shame to see it go ...

I just booked this through IHG so it hasn't gone anywhere yet.
