Cruising choices with an active Pandemic

Best just to go to the actual source, e-Visa.

Yes - if you click on the list of eligible countries United Kingdom is now there.
I'm clearly blind then? Or alphabetically challenged. I can t see UK in the eVisa list of countries.

If you want to get into the UK without any fuss go on a trans Atlantic crossing. We had to take our passports in today and she looked at it and said what are you doing next and I told her and she said I’m jealous have fun. 🥳

So cunard is asking we pre-print luggage tags before arrival. If I don’t have access to a printer is this something they will do at checkin? We have priority checkin, so I’m hoping they will have tailored service to match?

Yes. That’s just the standard line. Labels have always been available from receiving staff. It’s just a bit faster if you are ready to “drop and go”.

Most cruise lines ask this but there are labels aplenty at luggage drop off.

Excellent! Thanks. As mentioned before the whole pre-departure ordeal… and I choose that word carefully… has been a bit off putting with cunard. Whatever happened to ‘simple’? More notifications yesterday that they still can’t even open online checkin because they are missing emergency contact details for one of the party. We’ve called them around 8 times in total now. They have that info! And why can’t we just update it online instead of having to call? Urgghh.

If leaving in next couple of days many cruise lines close off all online access as they prepare their manifest. Viking does this 7 days in advance.

I wish it was that simple. The ability to update details online has never existed, except for limited input by the primary traveller. All other changes have the be effected by call! Maybe it was because we used a cruise credit?

I think it’s just because they are not at the top of their game. Lots of issues on board the QM2. Service in the bars is very ordinary and food well below par. I’m enjoying it because of the literary festival but they would need to pull their finger out before I cruised on her again. Many passengers have been on for more than 3 weeks and said standards are definitely slipping

Great! Looking forward to next week.

Our cruise has been reclassified as a ‘christmas experience’… or ‘journey’ or ‘awakening’ or whatever. I was excited but clicking on the information link it only means….

….they put a tree up!

I hope the tree was outed on its own accord, and wasn't forced into it.
