Finally had some contact with them today (takes time). Interestingly, they apparently are looking at some scheme where you 'business associate' can sign up as your partner

With this are the T&C's; here are some excerpts:

Seems like 3rd party sites such as Wotif & Lastminute no longer qualify.

• 20% discount on the following items provided they are charged to your hotel room account, - restaurants and bars (including alcohol and other beverages); - breakfast; - room service; - telephone charges; - laundry and dry cleaning; - mini-bar; - faxes; and - in-house secretarial services. ... [no discount] ... on items that involve an additional third-party cost to the Hotel. This includes catering, banquets, taxis, in-house movies, doctor visits, day-tours, parking and transfers.

This is much more specific than last years T&C's.

Well, there have been some changes in the HPC senior exec ranks lately (last couple of months):

Program Mgr Asia/Pac: Jorn Dijkstra (was the former Operations Manager, Aust)
Operations Mgr, Aust: Chris Alexander
Marketing Manager, Aust: Lisa Capamagin

Jorn was promoted, so was Chris. Lisa has been there a while. It was Chris that was looking a the Flyertalk "2 for $405" deal, and Lisa who is looking to revamp the membership kit and vouchers.

Their website is still down and under design. They were looking at doing web-based renewals but this has also been shelved.

As I have posted, the 2006 HPC "membership pack" come in the form of 4 plastic CC size cards with a magnetic strip.

These are packaged in a small leatherlook wallet with a T&C leaflet:

There is no specific printed rate on the "Welcome to Hilton" card so they could vary it at whim.
