He's actually working and training everyone today it seems. All the waiters then got briefed on the new breakfast menu items and samples of them.

So do we read into this that Neil’s leaves are in reality an artisanal creation, lovingly crafted by the man himself and not simply a handful of lettuce leaves grabbed from a value bag of Coles/Woolies mixed lettuce?

Maybe although he seemed engrossed in the buttery plumpness of his pancakes. I left before he started on the leaves.

From the all day dining menu in SYD F:

PXL_20240907_013704616.jpg
Five spice duck with salad of crispy noodles, radishes, wombok and black vinegar
Very tasty and had a good amount of chilli. The duck was crispy but room temp, would have been nicer warmed.

PXL_20240907_013633625.jpg
Malay style tamarind chicken and green bean sambal with steamed rice

Unlike poster above I quite liked this, especially with the lime. Would order again. Maybe a SYD v MEL difference

PXL_20240907_015513488.jpg
Snapper with grilled cos lettuce, radishes and bonito butter

Highly recommended, great flavours. Fish was a little over but by QF F lounge standards this was very good.

PXL_20240907_015520244.jpg
Adobo braised beef brisket with polenta and tomato salsa

Significant portion of brisket but zero adobo flavours. Quite a confused dish - is it supposed to be Asian or Western? Would skip unless very hungry and looking to fill up

Champagne was Lallier. No decanter.

In a post further up thread, @elanshin was observing that Neil Perry was in the MEL FLounge the other day and seemed to be engrossed in his pancakes as he was training the team there on the new menu.
