I usually purchase a return ticket LAX-SYD-LAX where possible with an AA flight number. I set my own agenda these days so usually have no problems returning when I need to.
why is that?

I am a sucker for pork belly. Mmmmm. Too bad all my F Lounge visits lately (and the next one too) are all in the morning.

What did you have serfty? (Pics please :D)

Btw has anyone had the Bollinger Rose in either the SYD or MEL F Lounges recently?

IIRC (a while since I had it) the QF version of pork belly is sort of delicate little crispy pieces...very nice!
I remeber those - very nice.

I had some today - These were different, rather then the 'cubes' these were strips about 10cm long.

Yes it is good. Since they switched to the spring menu in September they dropped pork belly from the main menu although it has been on the daily specials the two times I have been since. There is now a duck salad that is pretty good.

Duck Salad - fresh but IMHO, a little bland:

Here's the current version - nothing bland about these, they had somewhat of a kick: (almost "spare ribs [Oz style]")

Not on list bust asked anyway - nada.

The Dellamonte (sp?) was quite a refreshing drop however. :D

Found the minute steak quite tough when I was in F MEL about a week or so ago, but the sashimi did win the usual awards :)

Didn't see the duck - perhaps it's an October refresh.

In the F Lounge now, the Delamotte is very nice! So nice, that I had to have it 5 times.

The Bollinger is off the menu :(
Will post a picture once I get it from my phone.

The waiter says that the Bollinger Rose is a summer option and it may return once summer starts. No decanter either...

Based on last year they should be switching to the summer menu in about two weeks. So maybe the Rose will be back then.

Hopefully! My next visit will be in Feb so I can get the last of the summer menu before it changes over in March.

Here is the sad news of the Bollinger:
