Come with an appetite. The food in the lounge will be much better than you’ll get onboard.

Possibly consider a shower at some stage during the visit.

It can be nice to look at the views.

The old school departures board is nice to have a look at too.

Some plane spotting will certainly be on the cards!

What time? Try both the breakfast and all day menu?

Not a bad idea, QF37 departs at 5pm and my connecting flight from BNE arrives around 10am in the morning so could sample both menus.

I would be pretty surprised if you couldn't secure spa bookings in that window.

Something else to consider is which spa treatment to go for, and whether you want to eat/drink before it. Personally I wouldn't enjoy a back massage with a full stomach/bladder, but a facial or foot massage would be fine after eating.
