Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Not that the menu items are much better - the summer trout tartare was really average.
I beg to differ regarding the ocean trout tartare. The light crunchiness of the edamame with a small dab of the creamy avocado complementing the fresh raw trout dressed by the ponzu sauce was for me near perfection - texture and flavour. I was looking forward to enjoying that delight next week but the menu changed earlier than I had hoped. 😒

S&P Squid was delicious, had the chicken bao and steamed snapper, both quite good (bao a little dry). Finished up with the brownie dessert.
Champagne and coughtails going down a treat! The aircon isn't working near the windows so it's pretty toasty.

Spa session was perfect too.

Snapper looks quite fresh; hope it tasted the part.
 
Bao was meh but dumplings were good. Service was a tad slow so I had to scoff my desert as they called boarding.

We arrived at 12:30pm and it was very quiet, escorted from entry to table and had very quick service (10 min wait for meals) and constant champagne top ups.
It got quite busy from 2pm though and service slowed from there.

Pity we missed you. There were 6 of us at a table close to the bar until about 1330.
