As the title suggests, I am looking for easy ways to stop my points from expiring.
I am not in a position to take flights at the moment, so it will have to be something else?

Buying something in the Qantas Store appears to be the most obvious.

If you haven’t already downloaded the Wellbeing App, book something through Qantas Hotels to keep your points alive.

Qantas wellness App?
Transfer a trivial amount from a credit card into your account?

The best I can find myself, a month's Spotify subscription for 2,450 points.
Better than losing all my points, which is substantial at this stage.

Yes, heard about that.
Apparently, its region locked, so it cant be used outside Australia.
Well, I cant download the app anyhow..
Doesn’t help your current situation, but after initial App download and activation in Oz you can tracks steps, do checkup actions etc worldwide. Just need internet access to sync periodically.

I don't know about signing up for wellbeing (VPN?) app but I've definitely used it while overseas.

Wellbeing definitely works overseas with or without VPN. I live overseas. The problem may be downloading it … not sure if it’s available , (for example for those in the Apple ecosystem) from non Australian app stores and IIRC VPN doesn’t help with this.

You need to change your Apple ID location to Australia to be able to download the app, after that you can use the wellbeing app without VPN. You'll have to change the Apple ID back to your actual country once downloaded. Change your Apple ID country or region.

It's a PITA though, so I wouldn't recommend it.
