Currently overseas, easy ways to keep Qantas points from expiring?

I think there is a niche opportunity here.

People OS ask there 'mate' to use a BP card once a year for them, send them your old FF card and that's it, the only cost is the cost of posting it.

As the title suggests, I am looking for easy ways to stop my points from expiring.
I am not in a position to take flights at the moment, so it will have to be something else?

Buying something in the Qantas Store appears to be the most obvious.
Is an AFF article written by MattG about keeping QF points alive without flying, but cannot find.
And on FT FlyerTalk Forums - View Single Post - Disaster - Just lost over500k points

Have an AU address?
Not sure if works with non AU address
Sign up with Hoyts Qantas link. 100 points credit quickly when I signed up.

Note this in not financial advice
A bank account with Qudos and/or Bankwest can earn QF ff points. They post every month, so no need to concerned about expiry again.
If AU citizen or resident may be able to set up from overseas.

Airbnb can earn QF points

Do not need to fly QF. Can earn points on QF airline partners,

Depends on OP location, could take cheapie flight on BA/ AA/ oneWorld partner/ EK codeshare etc ensuring meets terms for credit to QFF account

You need to change your Apple ID location to Australia to be able to download the app, after that you can use the wellbeing app without VPN. You'll have to change the Apple ID back to your actual country once downloaded. Change your Apple ID country or region.

It's a PITA though, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Not if you have an old phone laying around. Just config as new, login to the Oz store and away. OP has an Oz phone number, so shouldn’t be a big deal.

Just downloading the app and doing some quizzes will earn points.

If you look at your QFF account online, there may be some easy offers like get 100 points for linking to WW Rewards or get 150 points for installing Qantas points prompter.

Another approach is to transfer your entire balance to a family member (in lots of 600,000 if you have more than that), so if and when they do come to wipe your points, there's nothing left for them to wipe.

Downside is you'll have to keep in the family member's good graces so you can get them back eventually.

You don't need to change your Apple ID's location, just create a new Apple ID (use a gmail address or something) -- How to create a new Apple ID -- and set its location to Australia, then use that ID to download the app from the app store:
* On your phone, go to the app store and click your profile in the top right, scroll down to the bottom and click "Sign Out"
* Then sign in with the AU apple ID
* Download the Wellbeing app
* Repeat step one to sign out and then sign back in with your regular one.

I have apps from the UK, US and AU stores all on the one device, downloaded this way. Once the apps are downloaded they should all receive updates etc without having to repeat the sign in/out process.

Creating a new Apple ID is an alternative.

However, it isn't necessarily less effort. IMO it's slightly more effort because now you have to go through the process of registration with a different email address, in addition to selecting the country and agreeing to the countries T&C's. Then you have to log out of your primary account which temporarily disables iCloud services such as Photos, iCloud, Keychain and Find Me (removing the device from Find My iPhone in the process) log in to alt, log out of alt and log in to primary.

Of course if you regularly need to download other region apps, and/or don't use many Apple services then another account is more convenient in the longer term.

You don’t have to sign out of icloud. Just the app store. You’ll still be signed in to icloud, photos, find my iphone etc. with your main account.
