CX HK J check-in

Now knowing this, here's my dilemma:
I arrive into HKG on CX long haul at 6.30am. But my RJ flight leaves at 9.30pm, same day, with check-in opening 3 hours before. I plan to spend the day in Hong Kong.
Any thoughts on whether it would be best to store my luggage at HKG airport or take it into Hong Kong for an in-town check in?

You can ask CX to check your bag through to your final destination when you first check in with CX. Alternatively, just take the Airport Express train to Hong Kong or Kowloon station and drop your bag at the in town check in.
