Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Got the cellardoor order on the mystery - chardonnay pack of Bin 311 2017 x2, Coldstream reserve 2018 x2, Seppelt Drumborg 2017 x2. RRP ~$250 so not a great saving TBH on the $175 spent. Have to be in it to win it I suppose - be interested what others got and anything decent.
Shame they didn't include the ninth lair. Seems the original fine wine week deal offered better value.

not that i can see... maybe im going mad, but it seems to be only some items, but out of some weird coincidence the exact two items I was looking to buy, which were Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey and Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale Gin. Seems to be something with new items. Also working on
Jack Daniels Tennessee Apple
Buffalo Trace Bourbon
Should also work on Koyomi Shochu and Plantation Dark rum.

Speaking of thinking you're going mad... I got a delivery from TWE today. Opening my mystery case with bated breath I was shocked to find it contained 6x Wynns Black Label CS 2018. Totally not what I was expecting, hardly a premium mixed case, not great value at all for $175 (but I could see a retailer claiming it is $300 worth of rrp). So I started drafting a ranty email in my head.

Then I check back on my orders and there's an order for those very wines on 10 June in which I asked for delayed delivery! $142 with discount, or abt $23 a pop. Decent. No sign as yet of my mystery case.

The punchline is - Clearly I'm buying way too much wine if this sort of thing is possible - didn't I expressly ask people on this forum to stop me?

Fair enough. Keep us posted. I’m keen to hear about what’s in the box.
@Timratoo here are the wines I received from Dandelion $175 mystery case of 12:

3 x 2017 Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz
3 x 2017 Pride of the Fleurieu Peninsula Cabernet/Sav (has 7 gold medals on the bottle)
2 x 2017 Fairytale of the Barossa Rose
2 x 2016 Wishing Clock Sauvignon Blanc
2 x 2016 Damsel of the Barossa Merlot

I have been happy with their wines for everyday drinkers and at $15 a bottle a worthwhile purchase.

Thanks for letting me know. I think you did pretty well for $15/bottle

Same same. That’s why I’m not placing any orders in July- but bottles still keep turning up

Not as good as last years deal for $114.01
Or $99 if you added another Grey to the order…I had placed one at $114, then placed another at $99 and cancelled the first. Should have kept both!

This is what I ended up with. As expected based on earlier info on what the different packs mapped to, this was the one with the lowest quantity available.
But yours includes a 2012 Edward Salter, I think that will be very special.

I had a squiz on numbers early in the day the mystery cases were released and it didn't seem to have much variance (all 99+). I gave it a miss given the lack of info on whether there were some cases with higher value than others. Reckon TWE have seen high demand for their mystery cases and are happy to throw in more dilute deals than previous iterations.

the one I ordered had 130 cases. the others were between 380-900. I wonder how many they sold on the day, would not be surprised to see a repeat sale

Interesting... I got on early in day and found there was 500+ boxes of some but less of others (eg case bbb). You're probably still right though that the success of previous runs saw the powers that be not extend the crazy stuff that others have previously been so lucky to receive...
