Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I had the 2018 Caleo as a CM special, Duval said it was new offering. It’s ok, but even at around $8/bottle I wouldn’t buy it again.
The Caleo along with the previously linked GSM is his entry level offering (note the ugly lettering) - and I think its OK at $8/bottle.

The entity is a fantastic shiraz from my experience and quite a step above

Has anyone had experience with the ‘new’ just wines reserve club? Link here Apparently it’s a trial thing. You deposit money into your account and get 20% extra.
combine with the current amex off you can save some good money on wines.
TBH I'm not a huge fan of just wines, but they do have a decent offering. They have one of my favorite wineries - Terra Sancta. Their pinot noir and rose is exceptional, chard pretty good too.
The top tier pinot is called slapjack, retails for NZD94 through cellar door, managed to get it down to AUD$54 per bottle (and a back vintage) with the deal and amex offer. More than I’d normally pay but treating myself..
Only catch is the nominated deposit is on going (cancel when you want to apparently) and starts from $40.
An interesting approach, think there was another company that did something similar with the pay it forward approach.
Anywho..wondering if any knew of it or had experience with it?

What Amex offering is currently going? Mine is arriving this week.

If I recall correctly the 2017 Entity was rated 99 points by JH hence the higher bidding price at Langtons.

yep - shiraz of the year that year. A seriously good drop.. i've got ~18 in the cellar and haven't touched one since the release. Am going to wait my typical 5 year gap before diving in, and then it'll be ~one per year to see how it develops

The Wine Reserve is not that new, I had a go at it mid last year and there were so many glitches I gave up and got my money back. They have fixed most of the issues now and I've tried again and bought a couple of wines that are not normally discounted much - direct from winery offerings like Grampians Estate Rutherford Sparkling Shiraz and Olivers Taranga HJ Reserve Shiraz.
I did try to buy another wine, but after two weeks and several emails/chat sessions it seemed it would not be delivered and they returned the money to the Reserve stash.
You can vary the monthly amount (minimum $40).

If anyone is still searching for Mosswood 2018 Cabernet (I got mine at cellar door luckily) it looks like Wine Square have some, but cost not specified. I'm led to believe it is becoming quite hard to source this vintage for obvious reasons.

Appreciate this is not really a deal, but may still interest some people.

Apologies if this is a well known fact but is this clearance pricing for select stores only or would I have luck if I walked in and ask them to scan?

Prob with checking bws as they seem to have done another disc sweep. Got a DM for $70 this morn.View attachment 254550

There are quite a few available at winehouse.com.au as well!

I didn't realise SK gave it 100pts.

I spose it depends what they're asking, it was around $83 at Dan Murphys
