Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

$23 was the price I paid in the last 18 months. (Needed to stack to multiple offers to get that price)
I managed to get 3 of the 2017 Turkey Flat Shiraz at ~$20 ea during the reductions last year, it was either VC or FC, but haven't tried any yet. Got some Cullen Cab Merlot at the same price at the time.

We need DLR's excellent BWS discount list!

Edit: couldn't wait - searched the locals for clearance items in six lots and got St Hugo Cab/Shiraz 2017 for $20.90, and some 2021 Grosset Polish Hill Riesling for $32, after cashback, store pickup. Better than usual for ACT BWS I thought.
Hard for me to pay above $10 for St Hugo after buying like 20 bottles for $10ea at LL the other year 😂

My crummy local has 2 bottles of Meshach (I fell off my chair)... filling up the last 4 is proving to be a mission!

Showoff! It also turned out that while I'd ordered the cab shiraz, what they had for me was straight shiraz.

And the Grosset turned out to be the 2019, rather than the more highly-rated 2021 that the website said it would be. I'd driven too far to hand it back and it's still meant to be one of our benchmark Rieslings... freakin' BWS stock control.

Anyone else had these issues and got anywhere by complaining? These were both clearance items....

I normally call the store before hand, ask what vintages they have.
I doubt complaining will do much, website says vintages may vary I believe.
You still got good deals!

The St Hugo's is maybe the best deal I ever got, but I've missed out on heaps and people have scored many more. Nature of the beast!

Yep, I might sound a little miffed but I'm actually pretty pleased with that haul. A benchmark dry grown Riesling from an even drier year for $32 cld be a great find.

Good buy if you can find it anywhere…$28 elsewhere.

For anyone with Cellarone, you can get the 2017 Katnook Estate Cabernet in a magnum for $60, seems to be possible to order single with a voucher for $40 delivered. Worth signing up if you aren't a member (have a look in the referrals thread)
10% off all cases at Cellar One, 2 days only. So this is now $55.20

Any other deals of note on that site?
