Hi all, am flying overseas tomorrow and considering buying some wines duty free in Singapore Changi on the way back. Haven’t done this before and wondering if the prices are a good deal there? Will be looking for French and maybe Italian reds. Any tips or advice?

Not sure which terminal you're going from but T3 with SQ - the main shop is closed for renovations at the moment and the two smaller shops are pretty lean. I bought whisky with my allowance.

Tried to look at vineyards with Century or Ancestor vines possibly these two?

Chateau Tanunda - 100 year old vine Shiraz
Langmeil Pure Eden Shiraz

There is the Elderton Command Shiraz but it doesn't hit the RRP.

Surely not the Pure Eden.

Completely agree. For the next Barossa trip. I can confirm that the Freedom experience at Langmeil is the most exciting wine tasting I have ever done. Specifically when Jonathan does it, he is such a fantastic Barossa history storyteller.

I think you all set the bar too high for a mystery deal.

I got a couple case last year and even at the higher price its still a very nice drop for those that like a Barossa shiraz. More elegant and fruity than the 2013. Drinking up to 10 years not 2035 and was screw cap.

Twisted Trunk or Dry Bore? AFIK Twisted trunk has never been under screwcap.

2017 Twisted Trunk was definitely screw cap. Bought twice from GWD. I was surprised too it came in s/c because prior vintages were in cork.

You might have got the premium ones if you got cork. Maybe diff markets.
