Any change in wine quality though? Interesting strategy to reduce rrp when everyone is heading the other way
It’s called the China Import Ban

Man, that is cheap (based on reward cc membership fees, that works out about $80-100 for the six of a very nice aged plonk). But I'm hoarding my pts so can't spare a square...QANTAS Wine sale is on - upto 70% off (they claim) via points
Just picked up a six pack of Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 for about 35k QFF points via broker who did it at a slightly better price.
PM me if you need an intro to my broker and she will kick back 5k points on your order if you never order from them before and I think may even supply a premium membership (she did so to my friend a while back)
The quality is still Ok, 2019 not quite as good as 2018 for me, but that's just vintage variation. Tipsy Hill 2020 and 2019 Yeoman were group ranked at similar quality to a Wild Duck Creek Black Duck Shiraz 2019 ($95) in a tasting in November last year, I preferred the WDC, but the Yeoman was not too far behind.Any change in wine quality though? I still base the value of the points against a flight rather than cash. So 45k is a business class upgrade or 2 return east coast flights in Oz if purchased at the right time. haven't done that for a while though...Man, that is cheap (based on reward cc membership fees, that works out about $80-100 for the six of a very nice aged plonk). I base the value of the points at where they are actually changing hands. Generally they can be bought and sold at around 1c a point on a grey market. So on that basis I consider getting my Voyager at about $55 a bottle. One of my favorite wines when I visited Marg River.I still base the value of the points against a flight rather than cash. This is deeply informative thanks guys. I often feel like I don't know the value of pts... I had an upgrade to premium economy SIN-LHR a few months back for 17k pts. Seemed super good value as I'd earned them by taking out a card with a $295 fee to get 110k pts. But maybe I'm just not costing them right!I base the value of the points at where they are actually changing hands. Generally they can be bought and sold at around 1c a point on a grey market. That is insane. All were available at the time of the post. FWIW the pricing ranged $90-$100 per bottle. Probably only one sixer was ever available. All showing as sold out
The J&J Eminence Shiraz 2016 was on VM recently, the bottle I tried wasn't very eminent, unbalanced lacking fruit to match the oak/tannins, sent the rest back. That is insane.
