It is a moot point as 2014 sold out it seems but 2013 was a solid year for Coonawarra Cab Sav according to the Langtons Vintage Chart https://www.langtons.com.au/on/dema...tage_Chart_2023.pdf?version=1,698,288,146,339What's '13 like for Coonawarra? Tempted by this one too.
Was that for 2022? Mine was damaged and being returned to the sender. According to our glorious Au Post.So sorry! For Triple Creek. Thought I was quoting a post
I don't think that anyone here had any previous experience. But there are some interesting TNs of you search backwardsI bought the 2021, but have no experience with this wine - a complete unknown for me...
I pulled the cork from the Triple Creek Shiraz 2021 tonight, it's the same cheap agglomerate cork as the 2022, with a little layer of proper cork at each end, only lightly stained. The 2021 has a lighter and more advanced colour and development than you would expect from the 1 year difference. It's savoury and mellowing rather than fruit driven and the acid pokes out a little. Despite the high a/v (15.5%) it isn't showing any signs of over-ripe fruit. Other than that, it's a decent $15 ready to go drink of no great distinction.
Not quite that drastic. You might have to go back on this thread and differentiate 2021 and 2022 vintages of the Triple Creek. I dare say that if you ordered 2022, you might be n the clear.OH! So you are saying the Triple Creek is cough? Am still waiting on mine. Thank you for reducing my hopes.
I must admit, your description of the cork was painful to me - I like nice packaging! And so the robust burgundy-style bottle won me over - but I never suspected they would put a cheap cork in such an otherwise impressive bottle. Idiots??
You can check the vintage on the Skyecellars website - view my orders section.Am most certainly with the 2021. Will post when I (finally?) get it and can taste it...
You said "most certainly" so I thought you weren't sure which you ordered as they had both 2021 and 2022. No need getting your knickers in the twist.Oly, I have now said twice that I ordered the 2021. I do not understand why you are suggesting to check the vintage?
Thank you, I've picked some up.Day 9 Wildcard at CD.co

Have you had the Tenuta before? I havent had much experience with Sangiovese.A new mixed case and a revealed mystery case at Langtons this week that deserve consideration. I see the Merlot pack as a discounted Tertre Roteboeuf with 11 other bottles free, the Tenuta Buon Tempo pack just good value.
Don't forget Shopback!
I haven’t tried Buon Tempo, but am a big Brunello fan. They seem to rate well, and worth a punt at Rossi Di Montalcino prices.Have you had the Tenuta before? I havent had much experience with Sangiovese.

I think it was priced at $325 but I could be wrong. I was doing mental pricing based on $10 for Clarendon Hills Merlot..Merlot pack sold out. Out of curiosity, how much was it going for? I've only had a Roteboeuf once and it was phenomenal!
