Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The 13 Maverick Twins Cab blend was one of the wines we tried Friday night

Yes I know, but my palate was pretty fried by that end of the tasting, so I still don't feel like I had the opportunity to taste it properly. I think it really deserves some closer attention.

seems a reasonable deal - about 21.40 per bottle

I thought this was posted before? It's been around for a while. Comes to around $18.80/bottle if you use Cash Rewards (buy 5% off gift card + cash back)
Yes, it's been going a couple of weeks. Great value for 6 black label cabernet and the Wolf blass imo.

Am trying to resist clearing out my local Dan's as storage is becoming a bit of an issue. Maybe some of the kids cupboard space needs to be reallocated?

Opened my first bottle of Maverick Twin Cab blend this evening. Lots of perfume on the first nose, with hints of purple and blue fruit coming through on the 2nd. Promising start but flattered to deceive. Had it with savory steak and it was simply not strong enough to stand up to the food. Hoping it will develop some personality with bottle aging.

I dont think its a bruiser. The blend suggests something mid bodied? Perhaps lamb/pork.

Thanks for the review I am yet to try it.
We are having pork tonight. Maybe?

Was this the same deal as what they had back in early April? I guess those that really wanted it probably stocked up already.

Yes, similar to the March 30 - April 02 2016 offer, possibly slightly cheaper, $256 after happybanker code if you hadn't used it, even less with cashrewards. Plenty jumped on it this time too.

They don't honour cashrewards if you use happybanker (per T&Cs on cashrewards site). When I bought the st george last month it came up as successful for me on the cashrewards site but then showed up as declined a month later.

One or two people in one of these (i.e. this, VM or 'Nice Wines') wine threads professed they enjoyed Maverick Twins Cabernet Blend most of all.

Well, it's $119 for a dozen delivered thru Winemarket for the next 3 hrs. Maverick Twins Barossa Cabernet Blend 2013 (12 Bottles) and a reminder that 'happybanker' code still knocks 20% off (if not already used), with cashback available as well. After all discounts, you could land that case for $90! Better even than VM have ever had Maverick Twins for...

This is back up on WM but is now $120
