Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

That is seriously insane. For me, the Mav Twins Cabernet Blend 2013 is the pick of the bunch - having tried the 2013 GSM, 2014 GSM, and the mentioned 2013 Cab Blend. I haven't had a bad Maverick wine. I'd take this cab blend over heaps of other pretenders. I'm in for another 2 cases.

Can't help myself, just ordered another case of the cab blend, and one of the gsm 13.

I am right. I believe the 2014 , at least for me, was too peppery. Now, in my tasting of the 2013 gsm in the second instance late last year, I gave it a 8.4. I will be interested in your opinion after tasting.

How do you rate the 13 gsm since you're sipping it right now ?

Agree, you're right. The 2014 is loaded with white pepper. I still quite like it, but I guess the fact that I have 7 of the '14 down in the cellar and, as of tonight, none of the '13 (purchased a few weeks later) remaining must say something!

I paid $11pb for this previous case of the '13 GSM and there's still great QPR at that price. Pepper isn't prominent, but it's juicy, spicy and incredibly drinkable.

coincidently, just finished my last bottle tonight. Bought a case for a mate at the full noise $10.70...shhh. Another 2 cases to share around.....good QPR and at price point...well cheaper than water.

Looking back on my tasting notes of two bottles of the maverick 2013 GSM last year, it's a stunner !
I also snared a 6 pack mixed whites with two plumms. I think my plumms will be very full after delivery savouring such fine fare.

BUT

Under six bucks for 4 dozen takes the prize as the best purchase by anyone. Well done Buzzard. You could start your own store now, maybe VinoBuzzard. Sleeping on them will be just fine thankyou very much.

I can't get over the value for money Cellarmasters have been bestowing upon us in our hour of need (well greed actually:rolleyes:) BF, I keep thinking the bubble's got to burst but it keeps on keeping on....

Holy moly, thank you! Someone's posted it on OzB so get in fast before they all do!

Cabernet Blend 2013 available for same price.

Goodness gracious it's a wine bonanza!

Our sons 21st is being planned and this fits in quite nicely. Even has a bit of gold regalia hanging on it for good looks.

After my first purchase from Cracka Wines was delivered last week whilst I was on holidays, had a series of SMS's from Dean Taylor with a $50 voucher code because of their "6th birthday". https://www.crackawines.com.au/6thbday .Minimum spend was $149 to access the saving, so went for the
Virgin Hills Cellar Selection Mixed Pack
so will be interested in drinking them from youngest to oldest...it may take me a while as I want to cellar a couple

CM $100 code no longer working
Got my hands on the ridiculously priced mavericks tonight, although had already used my Amex code (kept getting errors with my second card...CM saying invalid number) was tossing up about buying some very reasonably priced Lanson (~$25/bot) for the festive season, but the clock struck midnight and the discount is no more.

I must have come in too late for the 100OFFWINE promo code, but still was able to use the $20 Amex offer from CM to snag a case of the 2013 Mavericks GSM for $101.20 ($120 - $20 + $1.20 fee IIRC). Snooze (or in my case, go on holidays to a far flung place) and one loses :(

very nice tip...I reckon I would try the oldest first though. I am sure that the old boy that used to run VH was much nicer than Michael Hope who know owns it.

My voucher was $50 off for a $99 spend - and I still couldn't find anything that jumped out at me

I too paid with Amex so wondering if there is another discount heading my way. More than happy even if there isn't.
Did you register the cellarmaster offer on your card? If not you won't.

(I hope you went through CashRewards for the extra $17.45 off.)

WM has sent this deal:

Grant Burge Premium Mix (13 Bottles)

Two questions for the brains trust:
1. What is the batch 01 Shiraz? Strikes me as a cancelled export - but does anyone know anything about it?
2. Might the '01 Meshach be past its best?
The 01 Meshach has just popped up on Langtons at a discounted price of $70 in a 6, so I guess the call has gone out to shift some!

CT would suggest its about time to drink up, but not past its prime..

Seems to be availabe in singles on the Langton's site. Don't forget Cashrewards as well.

I have some Meshach 2002, and they're still going strong. No experience with the '01 vintage though.
