Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Gonna resist this round but it's a pity that the Moet seems to be out of stock as I think that was the sharpest buy at $25 a bottle (that or the Perrier Jouet)

I resist buying Moet or Vueve or the like from Woolworths owned outlets. They bulk buy and warehouse for years before it hits the shelves. Sometimes the stock that comes over has been sitting in a warehouse for 3-4 years. Not great for NV Champagne. It wouldn't be the case with ALL Champagne that comes from them, but I'd rather not take the risk

Tried for a third case of Veuve for the MIL but looks like they've fixed the coding or genuinely run out.

Picked up a case of Piper instead which, with the delivery fee, just slips over $300. Combined with the Amex statement credit and usual discounts, it comes down to about $21.70 which I'm quite happy with for Piper.

The Perrier Jouet is also available for under $35 if people are still after some champers.

I tried to order this about an hour ago and it let me get all the way through, but it said "out of stock" or something similar when I clicked the final "Pay Securely". Their website seems to be really buggy. Piper didn't work for me either, but I managed to get 1x Veuve and 1 x Lanson with confirmation emails straight away. Glad I jumped in and didn't wait for new wish cards to come through.

Same here :( Has anyone managed to purchase the Perrier Jouet in the last couple of hours?

Maybe call and ask them to process over the phone given it still shows as available. You wont get cash back but should still get the discount.

Hi all,

New here; been browsing for a while though. Got the email this morning and immediately realised it could be great.

Bought the Veuve, go all the way through but never received an email confirming the order, so I'm thinking that it wasn't processed.

The Veuve jumped up to $470 so I went for Perrier instead, which is marked as out of stock once you try to process payment (sorry guys).

In the end I got the Pickwicks Port ($27.75), progressed through as per the Veuve but this time the email came through immediately.

Website is buggy as hell, and to be honest there aren't alot of wines worth buying over $300 on the CM site IMO; however, I am happy with the Pickwicks which is great when I get the odd person who enjoys Port over for dinner.

Thank you to the little birdy who alerted me to these developments via SMS. Only just catching up on AFF, so would have missed out otherwise.

Thankfully I had my laptop on me and pulled it out to order 6 VC and 6 PJ ordered around 8am this morning. CR tracking is done at the 8% rate. Paid with cards at 6% discount from the entertainment book a few weeks ago (purchased with an EDGE, so 3ppd).

Excellent value.

Thanks AFF.

Just make sure you unsubscribe from those pesky outbound marketing calls. There's nothing like being phoned at work to be offered their drain cleaner masquerading as wine.

Thanks for the tip Penegal; I have updated my contact details now.

And, as if on cue, I received a call from CM regarding my Veuve order - apparently they are 'out of stock' and this was the reason I never got a confirmation email. I asked if they could leave the order active and fulfill it once they receive more stock but they couldn't do it. They are also out of Perrier as I asked to substitute for that.

Well done to everyone who managed to get in on time.

I got the Cashrewards / Cellarmasters email and immediately jumped on to see what was available.

Ended up with:
12 x Zonte's Footstep Chocolate Factory Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2013 at about $10 each after CR
12 x Burns And Fuller Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2014 at about $7 each after CR

Another buying ban bites the dust ...

That's always been like that. Stocks availability are not current until payment, which is annoying.
