Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I can find 5% for Wish cards and 7% at Dans. Is that the best at the moment? I have never used these before.

I've posted on the nice wines thread asking opinions on these two wines, but if you have a view on how good the deals are Id welcome opinions on that too...

2012 Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna for $28.99, plus a $25 voucher for 6 bottle buy. I make that $24.83 per bottle, $10.40 cheaper than DM. (Excluding wish gift card & $19 delivery to DRW which roughly cancel each other out)

2012 Bin 389 also in the $25 voucher deal at $58.99, puts it almost $20 per bottle cheaper than DM.

It is essentially a credit against your next purchase. It doesn't come off this purchase, so as Daver6 pointed out it doesn't really lower the bottle price this time around.

You need to be a VC member and the $25 credit is stored electronically in the same way as other loyalty schemes and is automatically deducted next time around.

It is not automatically deducted next time around - you choose when it is used and on what.

How does the $25 Voucher work?

I tried the 2011 on release and didn't think it was worthy of my money. The 2012 is a significantly better wine IMHO. Expect to see the 2013 released in Oct/Nov sometime.

I like the app VIVINO. Just take a photo of the label and it usually offers opinions of the wine. It doesn't always work but can be handy if you are not sure. Not all wines are in their database and we all have different tastes but it is a bit of fun

I accepted the invitation to my DM for this Wednesday at 7pm. Have heard nothing more from them, not even an email confirmation. No experience with this. And realistically not expecting any amazing bargains. But I don't want to log onto this thread the next day and hear the stories about the amazing bargains people picked up, so I've got to check it out just in case.

I think limit to 50 per store - Dan's in Parkdale VIC claim ALL Dan's Club members should have received email - he said they cannot fit me in as have 56 attending already - to which I replied listen Bucko I just spent $1,700 online to day with Dan's you really wanna tell me I cannot come? No Sir you are more than welcome - just make sure you bring your Dan's card with you to secure the discounts.

I don't think you need an email because I can see and click through to the event from the My Events section of My Dan Murphys.
