Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Has anyone had experience with the Pertaringa 'The Yeoman' Shiraz? Wine Direct have a few mixed red cases at a reasonable price that include a bottle. RRP for is $250 but I assume this is vastly inflated.

It's a quality wine. But it is frequently discounted by $100+ off that RRP.

5 x Franklin Tate Estates Alexander Cab Sav 2013 and 1 x Xanadu Cab Sav 2010 for $89 from Dan's (pre WISH and CR):

https://www.danmurphys.com.au/produ...LOY_2017_WK38_FranklinTate_Bundle&rid=8268625

The Franklin Tate got 95 points on TWF, but there is some speculation this is from an earlier batch, and the later ones weren't so good...

Still, it's not much of a risk on 5 bottles for about $11 a go, after you discount and take off $25 for the Xanadu.

Grays Wine has a new personal broker type service, and they are contacting their customers who have been acquiring the premium aged wines.

To kick off, they have offered me the Elderton Command 2002 in a 6 pack at $70 a bottle. The 2002 was one of my best Commands I've had. They also offered the Katnook Estate Prodigy 2002 for a similar price. The broker has access to the vast hoards at Grays, but most interestingly, he has access to the private treaty sales that they don't put on the website (similar to Langtons where they are selling offline at prices they don't want in the public domain).

If you fancy getting on the brokers list, PM me your email address and I'll hook you up. They currently don't have a refferal system set up yet (they are working on it), so it's the good old email refferal network for now.

I know this isn't the share-a-case thread but I'd be keen splitting a 6 of the Command if you're up for it!

It is in the main a cellar door only product with some going overseas...

I admit I am a fan of Geoff Hardy wines, so have no hesitation in recommending the current sale here:

Tractor Shed Wine Sale - Wines by Geoff Hardy

Particularly recommend the Durif and the Cabernet Franc.

Note if you use the code 'OZBARGAIN' you get free shipping.

I've had a mixed experience with his wines through this sale. I think the Red Meritage 2013 was one of the bargains of the century. Stunning wine for such a ridiculously low price ($70 for 12 I think I paid). However I was not so impressed with the Family Selection Red Blend. Could be tempted by the Durif this time around...

Sorry to hear about the mixed experience llamaesque - we're happy to refund for any wines that fail to disappoint. Durif is certainly on the money - only a couple of hundred cases made. I'm personally quaffing multiple bottles ofthe Cab Franc at the moment too.... Thanks for the support and enjoy the wines.
