Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Incidentally Dan Murphy's has a neat little mixed 6 bottle deal at the moment for about $120. Given that some of the bottles are worth about $70–$100 to buy on their own, it works out nicely if you're into premium drops.

Can you please post the link?

I got that message last night??
no wonder i never buy anything from them...lol

Discount was showing just fine then it ticked over 9am while I was in the process of making the purchase and the coupon code was suddenly not valid. I've never bought anything either and this was enough of a discount to get me over the line...until it wasnt.

I agree. A little customer service goes a long way. I was clear that I wouldn't be purchasing due to no code and that was that. And honestly, I can get the same wine at Dans for a mere 60c extra per bottle so their loss.

They won't get very far with that approach! I recall last year I missed the WD 30% off sale and rang the week after it had finished and the broker offered it to me nonetheless. That was DAYS after the conclusion, not minutes. Customer service goes a long way in building good relationships. Similar situation with VM, i missed free shipping by an hour or so and rang and they honoured it. Just shows the difference between good companies that will get repeat business from me and those that are a flash in the pan if something good pops up

VM were awesome when a free shipping code came out 10 minutes after I ordered; they just refunded the shipping amount straight to my credit card.

Let's remember Cellar Door is a "friends and family" site, not a retail site like VM, WM, etc.... Looks like they made a legitimate mistake that they corrected this morning. Trust me, I hate it when online sites make mistakes (and they often do!), but I'm sympathetic here. Clearly Cellar Door didn't plan to offer items to be available for free - sounds like they forgot to apply some rules to the voucher.

Who said anything about free? I was trying to buy wine with a discount code they offered which stopped working mid-transaction.

On the subject of Cabernet (that time of year innit) Fuddling Cup 2008 Cab from Geographe, back on Cracka for $14.99 a bottle.

This is a lovely wine IMHO - already aged and drinking very well. A bargain at a quaffer price. Opened my last bottle of the last batch earlier and has convinced me to get another 12. All this young Wynns black label and Xanadu stuff really needs to be laid down for a bit where as this is ready to go.

Had one of these last week - was pretty good. Reminds me of a Xanadu Cab Sav 2013 but at 1/2 the price!

I WON!!!

On the fifth or sixth time of asking, I have beaten the odds and have won one of the Langtons Mystery Pack prizes!

It's not the Lafite, but it's still a very nice wine indeed:

I heard the code was for those that bought at least $100 in April (their usual promo). If true, it may have impacted their level of sympathy here.

I've had a few of those 98s recently. They are very nice indeed. What a great prize.

Congratulations Unfunkable.

I never win anything. So I was pretty chuffed. As I see you are too.

I will pop a date in the Sydney Meet Ups thread giving lots of advance notice. You are very welcome to join and share the Cullen.
