Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The Hardys HRB Riesling is calling me....

Yes, I was just considering that the other day - the HRB range can be cheaper from the usual places with codes

I'm hoping that there'll be more Knappstein Ackland or Insider - I miss The Den with Pikes and Henschke, amongst others

Otherwise/Also Winery Lane with Woods Crampton Black Label

i had a broker call me from CM today, he confirmed it to be Glenlofty - but apparently a Glenlofty a level above the norm. I cant find anything to back this up on the Glenlofty website, they all look of a similar tier to me....but i could easily be wrong

Thanks for the tip. I purchased yesterday.

Loved Glenloftys SV, as a VM bargain. Their cab is not bad either.

Besides the deals I've posted in the pinot and epiQure threads, thought I'd combine a few themes and mention that the winner of this year's Halliday Chardonnay Challenge is the 2016 Amelia Park Reserve Chardonnay - $44.95 at myCellars (pm me for free delivery code) or cheaper at Winery Lane if you buy a dozen with a $75/$100 code...

Also, Cellar One has $10 off $100+ spend or $60 off $500+ spend until this Sunday - good for Stonier, especially the single-vineyard chardonnays.

nothing necessarily wrong with that - some of the best and most expensive wines in the world are blends :)

Welcome to AFF :)

Yes, Paul Kaan seems like a nice guy with a good website/business, as Tom whom I worked with a while ago - I presume that you bought the 2015 Grenache Noir earlier elsewhere and not from Wine Decoded as that would have been some speedy service?

My stock of GN is unfortunately so limited (read: one bottle) that I need to save it for a special occasion.
15 was bought along to a dinner by a friend. Had it with a Spinifex Papillon. Both good but very different.

Don’t know how it compares to those of Bekkers or Lino Ramble, but after winning the Jimmy Watson last week, Turkey Flat Grenache 2016 is hard to find, with Rathdowne Cellars selling out at $25, but if you’re lucky, then Dan Murphy’s may have it - just make sure you pay $17 not $59.99 :)

What did you have your store set as? Or was it just a boo boo that they fixed really quickly?

Any yet you haven't made it to any of their tastings? Hope you've sampled from their Enomatics (ground floor and basement)?

Just don't expect the 2016 - though you can hope :)
No...I finish work at 4 so generally not keen to hang around...havent actually even been in there yet! Only the normal store.

Not fussed which vintage at that price. I did notice it wouldnt let me order 6, so I threw in a bottle of bubbles to get the six price.

20% off a dozen or more single bottles
Valid from 14 October until 18 December 2017

if you buy a dozen with a $75/$100 code...

Any Winerylane codes floating around? best I found was DISCOVER, but that actually replaces the 20% discount so is pointless. The Halliday signup page is still there, email gets sent as such, but code not working

Halliday seems a bit slow to publish the Wynns Black Label Cab Sav review this year; I'm intrigued to see what it will be

95 or 96 just like every other year for the last decade plus is a safe bet. Great value at around $15.30 a bottle recently.
