Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Langton's Carpe Diem sale now on until 1pm AEST includes:
  • THE LANE VINEYARD Block 5 Shiraz, Adelaide Hills 2016 (JH95, GW93) $12.50
  • TEUSNER Joshua Grenache Mataro Shiraz, Barossa Valley 2016 (JH97, CM(WF)93, HH91) $13
  • FRASER GALLOP ESTATE Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River 2014 (RJ96, CM(WF)/HH95) $21

Thanks once again qaz
Sadly for you I’m not in Melbourne.
But from personal experience the Joshua is a dead set bargain at $13 so easy to drink with a broad audience
Looks like the Pikes has gone up but at $15 it’s brilliant. Better than the 2018
The Lane is very good at $12.50, big step up from the current Wynns Shiraz for people in that price point.
Fraser Gallop is super but needs a few years
Cheers

Please more GWD sleuthing ...and more GWD posts generally as can often parlay an Amex credit to bring costs down significantly.

I know that GWD wines don't figure greatly in the desirability stakes here but occasionally they put out something interesting, I've done bit of sleuthing on this one: $9 delivery Australia wide | 100% money back guarantee | Australian owned and can only deduce it's possibly: SmithCullam Shiraz 2007 (vintage notwithstanding). Seems like pretty good value for $13.99 a bottle down from $60 and probably reflects its drinking window.... Happy to be corrected on this;)

I buckled and ordered some just now (Murray Street 2012 GSM from Danny Murphys) based on previous recommendations, too cheap to pass up:)

Looks like the 2008, and a cleanskin. Might stop by their testing room on the weekend

Living in Tas I can't avail myself of the tasting experience but it would be great to hear your impressions, mind you I've got a dozen on the way so hopefully I haven't blown my dough one way or the other :) (won't be the first time I've boomeranged a carton back to the supplier)....
