Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just had another cashback that didn't track... For DM this time, so I've had four that haven't tracked just this month. 2xVM, 1xCM and 1xDM. I've never had issues previously, and doing nothing different. Any ideas what might be going on? All via shopback
I’m in a similar boat. The 20% cash back didn’t track and the one before (the 12% on under wraps) wasn’t honoured at all by DM. I challenged with SB but they said that DM were not willing to investigate/accept and therefore I didn’t earn the rewards...

What browsers are people using who get automatic tracking? I wonder if that makes a difference...
Just had my third missing cashback claim rejected this month, not happy. This time was for the 15% at dan murohy. Clicked through from shopback site on mobile via chrome browser, no adblock, no codes, no other webpage click - "sorry your purchase is not atributed to shopback"....

I had the same with Cellarmasters during one of the big 20 or 30% promos. They denied it tracked and didn’t pay even though it appeared correctly in the “pending” cashbacks. Shopback paid it anyway as “goodwill”.

All very dishonest - needs to be 10% cheaper or more for me to consider using cashback vs a cheaper up front price.

I am quering this with the ACCC. It may be a 'free' service to us, but it is still a service, and the merchants are paying and being paid. If we are following the required steps of the service it should be honored surely? It is also of interest that although not stated anywhere on their site, in the claim rejection email it gives 'hidden' steps that may need to be followed to for 'successful' cashback, as well as chat support suggesting 'network or cache' issues. So at the end of the day they are using these unstated 'reasons' not to honor the advertised service

I'll stop here, I'm sure noone whats this thread to turn into a shopback flame thread - just putting out the caution to others. Possibly stick to using the provided apps for future cashbacks.

Normally SB give me the CB when it doesn't track but I use it quite often. My last DAN didn't track, I filed a claim.

It seems like good value for $20, 2017 sell for $27 and normally I thought they sell upward of $35.

Anyone tried Tyrrell's Vat 9 Shiraz 2017? My mate grabbed 6 and offered me a few bottles at $50 as he got it discounted. It seems to sell for upward of $90.

Haven’t tried and don’t know what it goes for on the secondary market but $50 sounds like a good price for Vat 9

If you like Hunter Shiraz, Vat9 is definitely a good choice. It stores in 2500 L old barrel like St Henri.

I've bought older vintages for $30 in the past, it was well worth that. Have seen a few on grays recently selling around $50.

And are people still using WISH cards for DM purchases? I note that the current conditions on SB says that “Cashback is payable when you purchase with a Dan Murphy’s or WISH gift card” but in their DON’Ts it says “Gift card purchases” 🤷🏼‍♂️

Using gift cards is fine on DM. What they are saying is you can't 'purchase gift cards'. I've had another reply to my recent non exeptance of the missing cashback rejection. They now say they are investigating further, as quote "we have just been made aware of an ongoing sales reporting issue from Dan Murphys end. This may have caused a delay in your order being tracked in the system" who knows what to believe

My last two purchases from DM (20% up to $30) didn’t track with SB so I’ve opened two cases about it and today got email notifications about 5 different DM transactions all tracked for the same amount!
SB works in mysterious ways...

A lot of people ranting about shopback on ozbargain and not tracking

My last few for dm and shopback are weird

24% supposed to be 12%
24% supposed to be 12%
24% supposed to be 12%
12% supposed to be 12%
16% supposed to be 25%

Not complaining as overall I'm up but very wary now

...and yet all the rejected claims get the same reason "you must have done something wrong" Obviously some issues in the system.

My DM cashback now miraculously tracked after 3 days (and after a rejected claim) I also now have 2 cashbacks for the last BWS order, so that might be a bonus if it sticks

Oh yeah,

They blame you for using bad software, not clicking correctly, bla bla bla

And then if its a small amount they will behave like they are doing you a favour if they pay you as a gesture of good will!

The exact same thing happened to me with both CR and SB on multiple occasions. We need more players in the cashback market to keep these companies honest.

25% off red wines when you grab a dozen
Use code: RED25

Any 12 single bottles up to a dozen, 25% off.

Some, if not most are already discounted so could be some good prices within.

Trying to keep up with the winery direct offers at the moment.

I have a soft spot for Geoff Hardy Wines, as it was the first winery i ever bought wine from. They have a few half decent wines.
The 'premium 6 pack' $130.50 after code, includes a Pertaringa Tipsy Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 (97JH/97SK/95HH rrp $295?) I also took a punt on the 2018 Lagrein in their tractorshed sale for $134.10 after code, but they are now showing the 2017 vintage. I know many were repelled by the 2015 relaese, but I actually loved the big inky thing.

Museum, Large Format & Special Offers - Wines by Geoff Hardy (add OZBARGAIN code to get 10% off.)
Tractor Shed Wine Sale - Wines by Geoff Hardy (add OZBARGAIN code to get 10% off.)

I was going to grab a bottle of Tipsy Hill to go with the 2014 Yeoman I have, but when I think about the amazng quality of some of the Barossa Shiraz 2018 vintage i've been seeing recently (very reminicent of the 2015 vintage), I just wonder if it really is a deal or not, or if I should just put my money down of some 2018 Hares Chase Ironscraper straight from winery to show support. (Hares Chase have a10% off offer, not much but im aching to try the 2018 vintage)

Also Serafino Wiines has added the 2015 Black Label Shiraz to their mega sale at $220 for 12. Not the greatest price (they had the unlabled cheaper) but very decent for a mid term cellaring option.

There are some decent deals, Wine Direct don't jack up (many) prices during sales like this.
But better deals can be had in June and December when they usually have site-wide 30% off sales on dozens.
